Tiffany Brunson
Lilburn City Council 2025

Stronger Together, Better Together.
Unidos Somos más fuertes, unidos somos mejores.

Greetings, neighbors!
I’m Dr. Tiffany Brunson — a public health professional, a mom of three, and a proud Lilburn resident since 2017. I’m running for City Council because I believe in building a Lilburn where every person belongs, and where our shared future is shaped by compassion, integrity, and collective strength.
I may be an introvert by nature, but I lead through thoughtful action, not ego. My approach is grounded in listening deeply, collaborating with care, and designing systems that work for everyone — not just the loudest voices or the most powerful interests.I believe in a Lilburn where our families, elders, youth, and small businesses can all thrive. A city where safe streets, clean air, and accessible resources aren’t luxuries — they’re a given. We’ve already built something beautiful here. Now it’s time to protect it, grow it thoughtfully, and make sure no one gets left behind.

My Platform

🏥 Community Health & Well-being

Health is more than a doctor’s visit — it’s about safe homes, clean air, supportive neighbors, and access to care. Our city thrives when every resident has the chance to live well. I will advocate for:**Expanded access to mental and physical healthcare through local partnerships
**Targeted support for seniors, youth, people with disabilities, and unhoused neighbors
**Clean air, water, and green space initiatives that promote daily well-being
**Safer, walkable neighborhoods and inclusive public spaces
Did you know that, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s QuickFacts, over 25% of Lilburn residents live in poverty, and more than a quarter (26.3%) of people under 65 lack health insurance? These numbers remind us why expanding access to healthcare and supportive services is not just important — it’s essential.

🎓 Education & Youth Empowerment

While City Council doesn’t run our schools, it has a critical role to play in shaping an environment where young people can grow and succeed. I will:
**Champion after-school programs, mentorship, and youth job pipelines
**Invest in community centers, libraries, and teen-friendly spaces
**Partner with schools, parents, and educators to support learning outcomes
**Prioritize city infrastructure that is safe, accessible, and family-centered
In Lilburn, nearly one in four adults over the age of 25 does not hold a high school diploma — and only about 26% have a bachelor’s degree or higher (U.S. Census Bureau’s QuickFacts). Our young people deserve better opportunities, better support, and better access to spaces that help them thrive. Strong communities start with strong youth and that means investing in them beyond the classroom.

💼 Responsible Economic Development

Lilburn is growing — but growth must work for everyone, not just developers. Lilburn deserves growth that serves residents, not just developers. I am not in support of continued high-density developments that outpace infrastructure, ignore resident concerns, or erode our community character. I believe we must protect quality of life, not sell it off. I will:
**Oppose new high-density developments that contribute to traffic, overcrowded schools, and displacement
**Hold existing and upcoming projects accountable to community concerns about traffic, parking, walkability, and neighborhood impact
**Support small businesses and local entrepreneurs — not just chains and outside investors
**Advocate for fair, thoughtful land use that centers longtime residents and keeps housing livable, not just profitable
More than 61% of Lilburn residents own their homes — a sign of stability and community investment — but rising costs threaten that. The median home value has already climbed to nearly $280,000, while median household income lags behind at just over $57,000. Without careful planning, unchecked development could price out families, worsen traffic congestion, and stretch public services thin. We need economic development that respects residents, supports local businesses, and safeguards our city’s future.

About Tiffany

Lilburn isn’t just where I live, it’s where my family grows, learns, plays, and thrives. With three children growing up right here, every soccer match, every playground visit, every stop at a local restaurant has deepened my connection to this community. I’m running for City Council because I believe in building a healthier, stronger, and more connected Lilburn — not just for today, but for the future we’re shaping together.Professionally, I bring over two decades of experience in public health, science, and policy, along with a deep commitment to equity, education, and opportunity. I hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and a J.D. with a concentration in healthcare and administrative law — credentials that reflect my passion for systems, solutions, and people. But titles aside, I believe true leadership begins with listening, understanding, and building practical, inclusive solutions that reflect our shared values.Since my last run for City Council, I’ve continued to serve our community in meaningful ways. I graduated from Gwinnett 101 and was honored to serve on the selection committee for its next cohort of civic leaders. I also had the privilege of submitting a proclamation for Gwinnett County’s first Public Health Day, which included a free community health screening held right here at the Lilburn Library. I envision this becoming an annual city-led tradition that promotes health, connection, and care for our neighbors. My passion for civic engagement extends to our youth as well. That’s why I’m advocating for a Lilburn Youth Commission — to give young people a voice in city life, and connect them with meaningful leadership and volunteer opportunities that benefit them and our broader community. At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to authentic, ethical, and collaborative leadership — grounded in service, fairness, and respect for every voice. I lead without ego or exploitation, but with purpose, compassion, and a belief in the power of community.
